I absolutely adore The Happy Cake Shop and its owner, OJ. Stop in to be greeted with the sweet aroma of vanilla, strawberry, chocolate and a hint of coconut. Whether you like to keep it simple or you want to step out of the square, OJ has something for you. I've enjoyed the old-school coconut. The chocolate on chocolate will delight any lover of cocoa, and let me tell you about Very Berry which is a white/vanilla based cake with strawberry frosting that is so yummy. Let's not forget a classic red velvet for our old-souls and sophisticated tasted buds. If these flavors don't interest you, OJ has stuffed flavored cupcakes as well: banana pudding, crème brûlèe, and strawberry cheesecake. OJ is always ready to greet you with a smile! My girlfriend and I saw one of the owner's tiktoks this morning about this shop, so we decided to visit! He was behind the counter and enjoyed knowing his tiktok worked. We got a break down of what cupcakes were left (we went later in the evening) and ended up picking a trio; chocolate mousse, birthday cake, and strawberry chocolate cupcakes! We went to Mellow Mushroom up the road and left the birthday cake cupcake as a tip to the waitress, but we had the other two and they were delicious! Moist cake, beautifully done buttercream icing and my mousse filling was the perfect compliment to the cupcake. Absolutely will be going again as soon as we get the chance!

This shop is so cute! The service is always great. The banana pudding cupcake is my go but the wedding, red velvet, and Boston creme are also delicious. You should give it a try!

The cupcakes/food, service, and atmosphere is superb! I stopped by on my way to Orlando and placed two orders, one in-store and another to go! I would be staying over night in Orlando and figured if I needed to refrigerate my to-go order, I could! Well, I didn’t have to because they kept their freshly baked taste over a course of 2 nights without being refrigerated. I can’t wait to make my next, special trip to The Happy Cake Shop! 🧁😋 P.S. I noticed 1 negative review below and just can’t fathom any of that being true at all.

I was in the Riverside area on Friday night at a lounge with friends. Afterward, I was walking back to my car and saw this cupcake shop on the corner. I decided to stop in. Everyone was super nice and helpful. The owner was super nice as well. They shared recommendations and also gave additional information about things going on in the area. They also let me know that they are open late on the weekends. There is a small area to dine in. The cupcakes were supe fresh. They have both traditional and cream filled cupcakes. I chose the traditional strawberry cupcake. It was really good. The icing wasn't too sweet. The cupcakes are about $4 each. Parking is craaazy! But that's more of a Riverside thing. I highly recommend stopping in after dinner or drinks to end the night with a sweet treat.
